Apprenticeship & Technical Training

Enrollment
All persons interested in Apprenticeship or Technical Training programs must enroll at the Marshallton Education Center any Monday trough Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the month of August.  Three evening sessions are also scheduled during the month to accommodate students who cannot enroll during the day.  There will be a late fee charged for any student not completing the enrollment process prior  to the first of September.  Classes will begin shortly after Labor Day.

All persons who wish to enroll in the Apprenticeship programs MUST provide a copy of a current Registered Apprenticeship Agreement, which contains the signatures of the sponsor and the Delaware Department of Labor officials.  Apprentices will not be required to pay tuition, which is provided by the State Department of Education.  Non-apprentices will be required to pay the tuition.  All students are subject to textbook deposit and late registration fees.

Courses Offered

Aircraft Mechanics, Auto Body Repair, Auto Technology, Boiler Plant Operation, Cabinet Making, Carpentry/Home Repair, Drafting/Blue Print Reading, and Certified Nursing Assistant.

Carpentry, Electricians, Heavy Equipment Operator, HVAC, Iron Worker, Machinist, Masonry, Multi-Craft Industrial Mechanic Pipefitting, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, and Welding.

Keyboarding & Introduction to Computers, Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), and Internet & Web Page Design.
